@evan Despite (or because of?) having been here for 5+ years, I've been not as optimistic about it. Until now.

Recently though I've reconsidered my position, I can foresee mastodon legit turning into a bunch of connected old forum-type websites (in a good way!). Like, reddit, but if it was federated, and every community managed their own instance.
