meowski had happened on some list of superstitious remedies, stuff like curing gout by throwing a sack of live mice into the river during the full moon or making the dude that dumped you come back by putting a lock of his hair into a sheep's heart and burying it, weird shit like that, you know. But one of them was "You can fascinate a woman by offering her cheese" and I'm pretty sure this is not anything supernatural but is good advice.
