In case you didn‘t know, you can verify at least your external profiles (website, YouTube, etc.) on Mastodon. This makes it easier for moderators to spot fakes and handle reports.

In Edit profile, Profile metadata, add your YouTube channel URL.

On any site you control,add a link back to your Mastodon profile with rel="me", like:
<a href="https://your-instance/@yourname" rel="me">Mastodon</a>

Once Mastodon sees that link, it shows a checkmark next to the URL.
