@sally No. The kernel distributed by Trisquel is not exactly Linux-libre distributed by FSFLA, even though it cleans non-free software from Linux (using linux libre scripts), it still retains kernel's ability to load blobs if user provides them.

So, I can ask friends what they want after explaining the situation, and then do whatever they choose.
