This is what I did when I had too many unhappy people in a copy of Civ III and didn't yet know what I could do

I just let enough unhappy people die

That's the same run where I first built a nuke and wanted to see its range should the day come, but then couldn't cancel/ exit the aiming. "Maybe If I right click on the missile?" And there it went out, shot high above the major city in which it was built--only to bring the Sun down to Icarus
