@Suiseiseki I read it all yesterday, but since I didn't reply, I wanted to thank you for your usual help suiseiseki; I'll continue using sleep mode then.
I have one more question, as my cousin told me "all SATA disks from the last 5 years are SATA III", how likely is this true? I thought I should be able to check this with smartctl but cannot find the attribute.
