@sickburnbro @dictatordave There's also a big heaping helping of plain old bureaucracy sickness underlying the upward spiral in costs. Hospitals are bigger and nicer. Construction costs more. More administration. More insurance. More taxes. More lawsuits. More payouts. More drugs. More disposable products. More expensive schooling. More beaks getting wet at every level, and way more levels.

Market forces were removed entirely from Healthcare in my lifetime. I think we're nearing some kind of singularity. Things can't go on like they have.

The labor and delivery room my last child was born in was 3x larger than the one my first was born in. Brand new building, standing on prime real estate. Totally unnecessary bloat everywhere, with no functioning limits.

But it's bankers, lawyers, and insurance people at the bottom. As it always is.
