@Zardoz @branman65 @ILoveBlueSky @sam_harris The flu “vaccine” is the one that got me started. They publish the efficacy rates and it’s barely above placebo or has a wild range of efficacy (10-55%) with incredibly low confidence ratings in the data. Not to mention the proposed mechanism – if it actually worked as it’s supposed to and everybody got it, you’d just artificially select out for a different strain of flu and make the vaccine worthless.
2017-2018 Season Efficacy Rates:

- Influenza A (H1N1): 41.9% - 61.3% efficacy (95% confidence interval)
- Influenza A (H3N2): 30.7% - 54.9% efficacy (95% confidence interval)
- Adults (18-49 years):
- Influenza A (H1N1): 35.4% - 49.4% efficacy (95% confidence interval)
- Influenza A (H3N2): 17.6% - 41.1% efficacy (95% confidence interval)
- Adults (50 years and older):
- Influenza A (H1N1): 24.4% - 36.5% efficacy (95% confidence interval)
- Influenza A (H3N2): 13.6% - 32.1% efficacy (95% confidence interval)
