One thing leads to another...I was listening to a podcast which was discussing all sorts of "crazy" connections, I found it interesting that a person, Norris Bradbury, was chosen by Oppenheimer to take over his work in New Mexico, was the subject of a study Stanford IQ/ Eugenics program on gifted children. In addition, the son of that researcher became an engineer and a dean of Engineering, and later provost at Stanford. He became known as the founder of Silicon Valley and it was his work on obtaining grants from the Department of Defense that "helped to catapult Stanford into the ranks of the world's first class educational institutions." His advisor at Stanford was Vannevar Bush of Raytheon and the Manhattan Project, among many other endeavors.
