That's the main reason, I never offered the option to host outside Europe. Also, Mastodon handles higher latency pretty well, so that never pushed me to make that decision.
Still, I had reports from people that don't use my service because of latency worries. So, it's something I'm considering. Although I don't thing they will see great benefits on day to day usage.
