McNadoMDFunding foreign aid to contain Ebola outbreaks is extremely cost effective. If a single unrecognized Ebola patient is hospitalized in a busy urban hospital for a few days before it is recognized, we will spend tens of millions of dollars isolating and treating everyone who was at risk, containing the waste from that operation, and decontaminating the hospital, not to mention having to find a temporary replacement for the services that hospital used to provide.
