I have an answer and an anecdote: Boomers grew up thinking that every technology advancement was designed for their benefit and the sole purpose of making those is to please them in exchange of shekels, then they passed this nonsense to their children and grandchildren so now every breathing NPC will defend their capacity to fidget with their dopamine smartslops in a pavlovian way.
The anecdote is that a few years ago I met a data scientist who found the way to integrate LinkedIn profiles with Farcebook's bad opsec and prevent degenerates in the workspace but at that time (Plandemic years) this was seen as a taboo and unfortunately he was fired like a year after his Minority Report proposal. You don't need Palantir when the data points have room temperature IQ.
