@binarydigit Yep! I've tried it both ways. I thought when I was immersing myself in a constant stream of bad news for the sake of "being informed," I was being responsible. I convinced myself for a long time that being glued to the news was the same as action.

But the reality was that I was hardly able to function. I was just a constant mess of anxiety. I couldn't (and didn't) do anything to help anyone or anything. I was just basking in the illusion of control.
