@hj @phnt @feld @lain @thatbrickster a fio baseline would probably help too, even high spec vps tend to come with poor iops, and that has people reinventing optane on top of even slower slab volumes once a vacuum would put them over their allotment

a couple of real ssd's in raid on a physical machine will obviously run fine for much longer
