Richard Hendricks@whitequark A coworker was visiting Palm (old PDA vendor) and the reason they moved from the nice tactile side click wheel to buttons was because their ESD test using a 5 kilovolt probe would send a spark right through the click wheel to the PCB and blow up parts.
