Death Stranding 1 had the unfortunate role of "brand new series" and "followup to MGS V and PT". All the common criticisms are still valid but damn that's rough. 2 doesn't have this problem and feels a lot less tense just enjoying more of a good thing, and confident in its identity. Loads of MGS-isms, love to see it
