I find it interesting that ever more journalistic outlets publicly lament that “only x% of [audience] are already using generative AI!” in kind of a pearl-clutching, “how _dare_ all the others?!” way.

In the past week, the mental comparison with statements like “only x% of all people are already using radium toothpaste” being published in serious outlets fills me with ever more amusement.
