gentoobroThe reality is that it's really hard to inflict devastating financial losses with bombing. Most things can be fixed quickly and relatively cheaply. Further, the more stuff you bomb, the less valuable the targets become. This even applies to factories; the rubble gets swept up, the roof gets repaired, a couple machines get replaced, and you're up and working again in no time. The costs round to zero on a national scale.
