The solution for the illegals, is to start busting their employers with the existing, court-cleared federal felony - which would get them all fired very quickly.
Taxing remittances would still be good, though, as many were given paper-citizenship or green-cards to keep Americans poor.
After completing wall-funding (a few months of remittance-taxes), we could start transferring the rest to every American earning less than prevailing wage in 3rd-worlder-infested jobs - or who previously worked in those jobs, and now works some other crap-job due to being Replaced.
