@p @fluffy @miscbrains @ForbiddenDreamer @graf CanCon is already a thing and has been for decades. Protectionism in media is required when sitting as the next-door neighbour to a media titan such as the US if you want to have any domestic industry.
The government is already all up in our news business and is never going to leave. It may as well do something useful while it's there.
