- Embed this noticeI feel like I've seen that kind of thing, either in old TV. I guess China is heavy on that type of thing.
In principle, stuff like Mr. Rogers was teaching positive behavior albeit aimed at kids.
I think probably the reason that stuff doesn't exist so much on YT is because it comes off as manipulative and people don't want to see that. Even if it's manipulating you to be a better version of yourself, it will still *feel* disingenuous.
It strikes me that if you take something like YT, and don't try to rig the algo at all, just let it recommend what people actually like. Even if you ban everything that's political / controversial, people are going to gravitate toward stuff that makes them feel positive - which is going to end up converging on the best material possible.
