I understand the prevailing narrative quite well, having grown up with it, with a government scientist for a father. I was a believer in that for most of my life, but rejected it as soon as I realized I could because it’s manufactured consent, pretending a very great deal of certainty that simply isn’t actually there in the data, unless you already believe it.
