Why do people keep sending me this article?
The lolicon instances are trash, but condemning ActivityPub interfaces for having lolicon is like condemning the Email protocol because people can mail each other child pornography. It's fucking juvenile. Federated services are good and will evolve as they are adopted.
There's some sort of bizarre right-wing reactionary crusade AGAINST ActivityPub now that some journalists moved over. Like now that Elon owns Twitter everyone thinks it's a good idea to anchor themselves back to a centralized service? Are you all retarded?
The most blackpilling thing is seeing the people who should know better advocating against Net Neutrality, advocating against Section 230 (in whole), advocating against federation, advocating against cryptocurrency.
They've got you all by the fucking balls. You're fucking stupid!

@josh @Karamazov What's annoying about these articles is that they keep referring to mastodon like it's the whole of the fediverse.

@TREL @Karamazov This fucking faggot claims he did a deep dive investigation and he doesn't even use the right terminology!
It's not Mastodon! It's the Fediverse - a specific cluster of ActivityPub instances. There is one software suite called Mastodon.
Here's my new breaking news article:
THUNDERBIRD DOMINATED BY CHILD PORNGRAPHERS... SHOCKING ACCOUNTS OF USERS "VIRTUAL MAILING" EACH OTHER GRAPHIC IMAGES EXPLOITING CHILDREN.

@MistaVidz @Karamazov Styx has been hopping on the dick of every centralized service he can find with a 100% success rate in avoiding viable, alternative, federated technology.
How is this possible? Because centralized services can PAY him. Rumble can PAY him. Andrew Torba can PAY him. He wants to be PAID to ADVERTISE. He does not want to promote a greener grass technology that only theoretically benefits people and society long term - he wants your fucking MONEY.

@josh @Karamazov Styx also didn't help matters by saying that fediverse is a safe haven this kind of crap

@josh @Karamazov Net Neutrality? Wasn't that the thing where a bunch of giant streaming/web companies lobbied against a bunch of giant infrastructure companies over something that did not affect any normal people, and then enlisted a horde of retarded redditors as shock troops?
Funny how it was the "cornerstone of internet freedom", but was put in place in like 2010, and was only ended after the censorship push was already far underway. All it did was say that infrastructure companies couldn't charge Netflix more than they charged any other website.
