     It's perplexing to watsch how all Reps I listened to (admittedly only on CNN) call the refusal to vote for McCarthy an extortion or hostage taking or creating a senseless paralysis, even grandstanding for fundrasing reasons. Fine to me, but the same could be said of McCarthy. If he stepped asided, other candidates (e.g., Steve Scalise) would probably be accepted swiftly.
     
     This whole blame game is concenient for the GOP to deflect from their own responsibility. And that atitude is far worse for the political process in Washington than the games of the MAGA yokels.

     I'm not sure that MAGA paralysis is not the best we can hope for over the next two years, considering what they could get up to if they had something they wanted to do other than create chaos and spectacle.
