     @utzer depends on which state lays claim to your person and from where your money comes. If you're a german living in malaysia getting money from the US, it's not taxed.

     @lain hmm ok, so probably I could save quite some money, but then also had to travel back and forth a bit, so I'd pay parts of the taxes to some airlines.

     @lain but still interesting. There is also Greece which offers super low taxes for the first years on all income from Germany if you move there.
