   Linux has already made macOS also a bit of a "faller in between" in gaming.

   Apple's hardware is expensive and doesn't often suffice for gaming purposes - with that same amount of money one can buy much more powerful device +put free as in freedom Linux on it :linux:

     Yeah, that kind of survey really isn't reliable enough to come to that sort of conclusion.
     
     From what I can see, the only conclusion that can be reached is that for stack-overflow developers that have mentioned what OS they use, systemd/Linux has become more popular than MacOS.

     But even then, you probably want an OS, rather than just a kernel: "Sadly, a kernel by itself gets you nowhere.
