Trying #fedilab today - any particular tips from anyone? (reply guys welcome). Switched from Tusky (which I love) to see if the post threading feature is as good as described, and the new update about fetching all replies.

You mean that after opening an image in fullscreen you can't pinch zoom? It must be in fullscreen first, if even with that it doesn't work, it's a bug.

Maybe #fedilab resizes the image when it brings it in. Seems if I go over to the web version I can zoom. Because they resize it, it's as big as it's going to be. -

Must be a bug yeah. The weird part is, if it's a post with multiple images, the response seems better, almost as if there's a buffer on the edges of the images that is applied, or something? (Edit: hmm actually it still does it on multiple-image posts. Maybe it's based on image type, I dunno. This edit feature is great though ?)
Hopefully @apps will see it's a common issue and prioritize it ??

CarpInSanDiego (chriscarpenter@masto.ai)'s status on Wednesday, 04-Jan-2023 17:53:53 JST CarpInSanDiego Its the one thing about Fedilab that bugs me. I can't pinch and zoom any images. It's got to be a bug.

Click hashtag to follow it, or long press to mute, is a nice little feature, I find.I also appreciate having my replies to others' toots set to unlisted by default - although this doesn't seem to work for threaded replies to my own top-level posts.
Curious if you also find the image pinch zooming/scrolling to be janky, or if it's just me?

Yes, touch event is used to switch between normal and fullscreen. But zooming with fingers should work.

For me, let's say I am scrolling through my feed. I see an image on a post. I tap on the image to open it.Then, when I use pinch zoom/scroll around the image, it behaves unpredictably. Sometimes it will stay zoomed, sometimes it will snap back to "fit to screen" size. It seems to do this most often if I scroll/drag to the edge of the image.
This makes it very difficult to read images of small text, or graphs, etc.
Samsung phone, if it matters. Thanks!

We don't say we will keep this behaviour :)
We will check to be close to other apps and avoid deceptive UX. Bookmarked. -

Right, yes.So what is happening is that I will zoom with my fingers, and many times (but not always), the moment I lift my fingers, the image reverts to the original 'not-zoomed' size.
In the cases where the image stays zoomed, often (but again, not always) if I drag the image to see a different part of it, the same thing will happen: when I lift my finger, the image reverts to the 'not-zoomed' size.
Thanks for taking the time :)
