So what is happening is that I will zoom with my fingers, and many times (but not always), the moment I lift my fingers, the image reverts to the original 'not-zoomed' size.
In the cases where the image stays zoomed, often (but again, not always) if I drag the image to see a different part of it, the same thing will happen: when I lift my finger, the image reverts to the 'not-zoomed' size.
@apps For me, let's say I am scrolling through my feed. I see an image on a post. I tap on the image to open it.
Then, when I use pinch zoom/scroll around the image, it behaves unpredictably. Sometimes it will stay zoomed, sometimes it will snap back to "fit to screen" size. It seems to do this most often if I scroll/drag to the edge of the image.
This makes it very difficult to read images of small text, or graphs, etc.
@cendawanita Click hashtag to follow it, or long press to mute, is a nice little feature, I find.
I also appreciate having my replies to others' toots set to unlisted by default - although this doesn't seem to work for threaded replies to my own top-level posts.
Curious if you also find the image pinch zooming/scrolling to be janky, or if it's just me?
The weird part is, if it's a post with multiple images, the response seems better, almost as if there's a buffer on the edges of the images that is applied, or something? (Edit: hmm actually it still does it on multiple-image posts. Maybe it's based on image type, I dunno. This edit feature is great though ?)
Hopefully @apps will see it's a common issue and prioritize it ?? @cendawanita
So I just tried using it now, and the problems with zooming and scrolling are completely fixed :)
However: I had set an image in one of my posts as sensitive, and after I click to view it, I cannot hide/blur it again. Is there a setting for that as well?
@apps Ok sorry - I was finally able to recreate the bug when using pinch-zoom. Took me a while to understand what the conditions needed to be in order for the bug to appear.
If I open an image, and there is still the button that says 'image has loaded, click to view', then there is strange behaviour if I pinch-zoom and then try to scroll.
But, after I press that button to view the fully loaded image, everything works fine, and I can scroll around the image with no issues.
