     @tk@bbs.kawa-kun.com @Moon@shitposter.club Remember that Ultra settings in most games tend to be virtually indistinguishable from High, aside from lower frame rates.

     @tk@bbs.kawa-kun.com @Moon@shitposter.club pretty much. You really aren't seeing much of a real benefit over mid range stuff or older gen GPUs even with modern AAA games.

     @newt@stereophonic.space @tk@bbs.kawa-kun.com @Moon@shitposter.club being honest I'm fine with keeping my Radeon 6800 XT for that long, heck I'm pretty sure someone with like a 3060 or similar will be fine with it for at least 5 years.
     
     The most popular GPU on Steam's hardware survey for a long time was a GTX 1060 after all, and right now it's only behind... the GTX 1650.

     @tk @norm @Moon how high-end are we talking about? Because I could probably justify buying a 4080 with the fact that I won’t need to replace it for the next 6 years. At least.

     @norm @Moon @tk I bought my 1080 in 2016 and it lasted me until a few months ago. I’d keep it longer, as the performance was just fine, but it started dying for some reason :blobfoxnotamused:
