     @alex @GoodPerson @Ghislaine @parker Migrated followers. Users on some instances where I have a lot of followers (e.g., poast) got a thousand notifications. Smaller instances, users only got a couple. Seems it's over now though.

     @parker @GoodPerson @Ghislaine @parker We should try to prevent sending out a lot of Move’s, but more importantly we need to deduplicate incoming Move’s.

     I wonder - if it sends duplicate notifications for each user that follows that user who moves per instance. For example, if 20 people on NCD follow his old account and then he migrates, each account may receive 20 notifications. Whereas if 50 people from Poast follow him, they get 50 notifications each. This could be tested, if you like. I've got time to help.
     
     The reason I say this is because I only got about 10 notifications, but I saw other people get many more.

     @matty @GoodPerson @parker @Ghislaine @parker Notifications don’t federate - Activities federate. Notifications are generated as a side-effect of ingesting Activities.

     So what you’re actually trying to say is - I wonder if it generates a Move activity for every one of the user’s followers, and then sends all of them to each follower.
