Funny thing, I made a coffee earlier & I realised the milk went out of date on the 21st, I smelled it & it was fine (I can normally smell it going off a day or 2 before my wife, I have a sensitive nose) I tasted it & it tasted fine. How has this milk gone so far beyond its use by date?

Funny you mention microbiology, my best mate is a microbiologist, he works on vaccines now but used to do microbiological test on milk!

Most products are safe for consumption past this date. Especially for non-dairy, these dates are set by a panel of consumers who go by taste, so it isn’t even related to any microbiology. -
