Alexandre Oliva (lxo@gnusocial.net)'s status on Tuesday, 27-Dec-2022 13:43:31 JST Alexandre Oliva Brazilians are American, as are all South, Central and North Americans. it's offensive to other Americans for USians to claim America only for themselves. -

Alexandre Oliva (lxo@gnusocial.net)'s status on Thursday, 29-Dec-2022 21:08:54 JST Alexandre Oliva wow, I had no idea that "pulling a Linux" was accurate even to the point of describing the angry watchdogs in the wikipedia talk pages :-/
common use they undeniably are, but neutrality and presenting all POV leave something to be desired in those discussions. references that support the dominant view are elevated, while those that would undermine that POV are disqualified. *shrug*
but the end result, at least when it comes to Americans, is not horrible: there's a link to disambiguation acknowledging other uses. -
