     @helene @cope I’ve been using Docker to build and run under different Elixir versions. Main limitation there is whichever version of Erlang the Elixir image was built with unless building your own.

     @augustine @cope yeah, i *could* use Docker, but for development of something like Pleroma, I'm not really a fan of it (especially when Postgres is involved, etc)

     @helene @cope true I only use it for compiling the OTP and then run it in a separate stage. I keep the database outside of Docker. Makes trying tweaks much quicker especially if changing versions.

     @augustine @cope there are dockerfiles for pleroma (official images even, just not really published), i used to run pleroma in docker, but i'd prefer not to do that anymore as much as i can possibly avoid it

     @helene If it's just to have another Elixir+Erlang version, maybe using asdf is enough? https://git.pleroma.social/pleroma/pleroma/-/merge_requests/3423
     
     I don't have experience with LXC, though, so maybe that's easier too, idk
