   Why I cannot respect the #carindustry? Because these utter morons keep launching private tanks like #Mercedes's GLS Maybach.
   Get that crap off the roads - and any other XXL SUVs and pick-ups with it. This is an ongoing #armsrace that causes casualties with cyclists and pedestrians.

   Why not go for a full-size APC instead? #traffic #mobility

     Absolutely. Japan does it right with Kei cars. When roadspace is limited, nobody is entitled to use as much as he or she likes.

     The failed logics of an #armsrace mean that whoever buys a small #car is seen as either suicidal or irresponsible if children are meant to be transported as well.
     States should tax the crap out of XL size and overweight cars so it gets painfully expensive to actually ride those contraptions. And cars should not be allowed to be bigger than existing parking spots and lanes.
     #Roadspace needs to be shared, not hogged by those with the biggest cars. Pretty simple, actually.

     If you should ever get out of the United States and visit EUrope, you'd see that not everything is working the same way outside of your mad empire. But if you've never left your country you probably should not try to correct the views of someone who has ridden bicycle around the world.

     the infrastructure in the USA is built principally around car transport. You would have to be an absolute clown to peddle two hours to the nearest walmart just to buy food.
     
     Cycling is just a hobby for the rich upper middle class. Cars are the mode of transport for the poor. Your hobby is not more important than my right to feed my family.
