Even if I agreed with them, the genie is out of the bottle on the matter. At best we get some sort of token ban on the for-profit business use of AI-generated images using protected samples in their model (and I'd be shocked if boomer-run govts understood or cared to), which would be hard to enforce. But then there's still millions of private individuals who could do the same and be very difficult to pin down with what we already have access to, let alone future methods which words on paper will never prevent the development of.

I am just waiting for people to realize that making the entirety of human existence about "earning your living" is fucking RETARDED. You'd think the ability for technology to replace yet another "career" (and a "creative" one, too!) would finally make people think, but no. They come up with all these copes like "well, just make better art!". Like that will do shit. Or "well, some people will want human made things!". Cool, tell that to the 90+% that won't care about where the art comes from as long as it exists. The capitalist, anti-human mind virus is just too strong, and it makes me furious.
