   I know you've long been here (your profile had told me so, though our bubbles don't seem to have touched for years), but you've also been there and got used to that (your posts tell me so)
   
   e.g., you insist on this power play of ordering me to shut up, to stop participating in the conversation. that's not nice, as I've pointed out before, yet you keep on doing that. you see, this behavior leads to a bad dynamics, in which I'm required to disobey your command to avoid feeding your illusion that you hold any power over me.
   
   this sort of demand is not only disrespectful, it also leads to poor communication dynamics. I guess that's common over there, because I've heard plenty about the toxic atmosphere there, but it's not recommended practice here.
   
   here we resort to silencing/muting/blocking, depending on severity. I encourage you (but do not command you) to silence this thread, or to mute me for a while, if you find my speech in this conversation inconvenient/disturbing/annoying. (I'm not sure about the terms on your end; I'm on GNU social myself)
   
   even blocking, the harshest of these actions, is not taken as offense, unlike telling others to shut up, even in more polite words. it's not conducive of that cooperation you alluded to either, but after all these years, I suppose I could live even with that.

     Alex, your amazing outburst seems to speak mostly to the bubble you inhabit.You don't know me or what I do any more so you're projecting on a memory of a stranger as a cipher for your hatred of OSI. Try reading what you wrote as if I said it to you, it fits.

     I sense you won't take heed of this and will continue to accuse & lecture me with projections of your own issues, so I will indeed block you as you asked. I regret this as I usually enjoy discussions with friends from FSF and FSFE.
