@annmlipton@mmasnick@caseynewton This sounds exactly right for mediocre managers and abusive bosses. The good ones have already adapted and aren’t chafing at anything, because they have built enough trust with their employees that they’ll willingly come in if it’s actually meaningful/necessary.
