You are expecting a LOT out of DK, or to be fair any dissident who spends most of his time reading. People in this sphere, especially the intelligent ones, are here and not in academia because of their remarkably high disagreeableness. Throwing that out (if they have redeeming qualities) is a mistake. The argument chiefly centers around what those redeeming qualities are.

I expect actual arguments, and I've never seen him make any. What I have seen is a Chernobyl-scale nuclear melt-down when you dare to question his priors.

  He was concise enough that his entire point fit within his first post, and his arguers didn't understand what he was saying. You're held to much the same standard here.
