   It may be considered weird but I like it anyway—snacking on cheddar cheese and vintage Oxford extra coarse cut marmalade. I love everything about this marmalade!!!

     When I was a kid there was this cake shop near us (in Tokyo) that made madeleines with marmalade.

     Their madeleines did not come in the shell shape; they came in a shallow cup-cake like tin foil, with a thick layer of light orange marmalade at the bottom.

     Imagine the delight of a child eating that buttery cake and then using her finger(!!) to scrape the gooey marmalade base?! I don't even know how adults ate that marmalade-madeleine with politeness and dignity. #madeleine #marmalade

     Speaking of #marmalade, linzer torte-like cookies made with marmalade rather than raspberry jam might be beautiful.

     But then again, serving simple biscuits with spoonful of marmalade might just suffice...
