      @coin Where exactly did it fail?
      Maybe I can help, or otherwise @mint or @kleeneks who are the ones who helped me quite a lot.

      @coin @kleeneks @mint Is the daemon still running?
      And which version of it are you running (i2pd --version)?
      What is the output of just "i2pd"?

      @ryo @kleeneks @mint I think I used a C project instead of a Java one, it was running but I was failing to load web pages. I was told to wait awhile since it takes time to build a network. I waited a week and nothing outside of maybe 1 or 2 indexers worked.

      @ryo @kleeneks @mint I've long since stopped running it. You just reminded me of it. I could give it another shot.

      @coin @kleeneks @mint Then could you at the very least provide the version of i2pd you have?
      It's quite important, because Lesbian and all the other DEB-based distro's ship the broken version in their repoes.

      @ryo Can you give me a link to an i2p site that will definitely work?

      @ryo Cool, but you missed some things: MAKE SURE YOU SET network.dns.disabled,network.dns.disablePrefetch,network.dns.disablePrefetchFromHTTPS TO TRUE IN about:config. OR ELSE YOU WILL LEAK YOUR DNS LOOKUPS.

      In I2P you can configure tunnels to open up local ports for various applications such as SMTP/POP3,IRC and SSH. You’d use torsocks <command> to wrap a program with Tor but in I2P you can just assign a tunnel at localhost:6969 and push git commits to git.community.i2p over that.

      Outproxies are a way to connect to the clearnet. The currently operating outproxies are purokishi.i2p, exit.stormycloud.i2p, and outproxy.acetone.i2p, but I generally do not recommend using them. I use outproxies for very light clearnet browsing for plaintext sites. (You can also configure I2P to have less hops for more tunnel reliability but this can compromise your anonymity by a lot)

      @kleeneks I'd recommend proxychains-ng over torsocks personally.
      The former can be configued to anything including Tor and I2P and is written in C, while the latter is locked into Tor-only and is written in Pysoy.

      @ryo Interesting, using proxies to wrap apps in I2P is just dumb since you can use tunnels, but I'll start using what you recommended for Tor since I hate poothon with every single drop of my soul.

      @ryo I enjoyed your article on this. I have heard about I2P but I never got to browsing on it. Hearing that it's faster than TOR already sold it to me. I guess I need to try it out.
