CatboyCumDump :blacklight: (catboycumdump@poa.st)'s status on Tuesday, 29-Nov-2022 05:24:24 JST CatboyCumDump :blacklight: @graf @matty @alex @chudbere there should almost definititely be a scheduled job that clears that queue, there's no reason someone who hasn't logged in in that long should have impact on newer/active accounts. I'd even wager there are less intrusive strategies to update the notifications table on the fly for those users given the original status metadata is preserved. -

anime graf mays ?️? (graf@poa.st)'s status on Tuesday, 29-Nov-2022 05:24:25 JST anime graf mays ?️? @matty @alex the issue is backed up notifications on our end, again. clearing notifications that were seen immediately rectified the issue
pleroma=# delete from notifications where seen = 't' and inserted_at < CURRENT_TIMESTAMP-'2 months'::interval; DELETE 3161876(sorry people who saw their notifications 2 months ago but 3.1 million delivered notifications is a lot)
@chudbere jims account is also working fine now

Alex Gleason (alex@gleasonator.com)'s status on Tuesday, 29-Nov-2022 05:26:23 JST Alex Gleason @CatboyCumDump @graf @chudbere @matty Oh wait. Is this the same problem with subscriptions? Except now for remote users?
Does Matty have like a thousand subscribers on Poast?

Chudbere (Clairebere) :duckjam: (chudbere@chudbuds.lol)'s status on Tuesday, 29-Nov-2022 05:28:44 JST Chudbere (Clairebere) :duckjam: It's gotta be related to subscribers because the only account that was affected on chudbuds was Jim, likely due to people on poaat being subscribed to him. Post replies that don't trigger a bell were federating over to poast but not his top level posts. Alex Gleason likes this. -

Alex Gleason (alex@gleasonator.com)'s status on Tuesday, 29-Nov-2022 05:29:21 JST Alex Gleason @chudbere @matty @CatboyCumDump @graf If that’s the case then we know the solution. Same thing we did for local accounts, but do it for remote too.

I have no idea. I'd like to find out, at least locally, what the subscriber count is. -
