     @eonity@mastodon.social @silvereagle@furry.engineer Tumblr is also planning on using the same protocol as Mastodon, so there's that :)
     
     Meaning you can talk to Mastodon peoples (and other platforms that use ActivityPub) from Tumblr and vice versa

     @silvereagle Seriously, even deviantART is better the FurAffinity even when you consider the former’s recent AI art fuck-up.

     Pixiv and Tumblr are great alternatives as well; the latter is now much more competently-run nowadays too.

     I’m not on Pixiv much, and I hate how their iOS app has ads, but it’s definitely a far-better platform than FurAffinity from what I have seen.

     I already wrote a long thought piece about why FA should absolutely not be your only place for posting content on the web (https://cohost.org/SilverEagle/post/347132-an-exodus-to-fur) but if you're worried that Twitter's leadership has no idea what it's doing, you will not find reassurance in FA and its team.
