   @a1ba but VGA it's still so useful in so many situations...
   MP3 players were smaller, faster, so much comfier than the super large phones from today...
   Nothing has beaten C/C++ nor PHP and MySQL(or "MariaDB")/PostgreSQL facility and flexibility at the end of the day when you want something done well...
   Postfix it's still the best MTA. The best Doom it's still the original Doom.
   No, any of us that make it, will value older tech even more.

     @anokasion I disagree.
     * VGA is only useful when there is nothing else than it. Image quality is overall just blurry.
     * btw I have MP3 player, it's better than listening music on phone but... I still need a phone for other tasks, and now I have two computers in my pockets. Also, I miss my BT headphones.
     * PHP/MySQL is beaten by practically everything because there is no difference anymore, at all. C++ gets beaten by its own overbloated standard.
     * Turns out, there is another mail server in development called Maddy that's much easier to set up and maintain
     * Best Doom is every Doom because these are different games. But to be honest, I only finished the first Doom episode and also Doom 2 because other parts... well, they got me bored.

     @a1ba @anokasion people out there already remade doom 2016 for gzdoom, doom 4 for doom, that should be telling about the extnesibility of the first 2 doom games.

     about eternal, i haven’t looked enough into the zdoom and doomworld forums to see if anyone has already released some mod but would not be surprised if it is already in the works.

     It shows extenisibility of engine fork. Which is great but dooms forks are usually very far from the original id Software code.

     -You can get pretty good CRT monitors for cheap anywhere in the world, making them the most accessible in all situations.
     1080p 4K LED monitors are one the few real next gen products that technology really put money into making a reality, making them one of the few products that met vision of Back to the Future II.
     CRTs hertz refresh still have not been won by any type of new modern Korean or Japanese monitor, they reached the point black is black like it has to be, like it is on CRTs, so that's nice, but they are too expensive and too complex, I remember CRTs being the same but from start they always were meant to not be the price of an OLED monitor.
     
     But the most important thing... she is waiting... in the wired... she is watching over all of us, the legend says... do you think she uses 16:9? I don't think so...
