I wish someone would care that Mastodon’s UI has been broken for years. Why do I have to click the three dots at the top of a column 20 times a day just to get it to load new posts?!

@fribbledom Isn't the "slow mode" setting supposed to allow for automatic updates?

@fribbledom Assuming we're talking about the (non-advanced mode) web UI of Mastodon, there is a setting, accessible from the "Preference" link, under the section "Animations and accessibility", which is named "Slow mode" and described as "Hide timeline updates behind a click instead of automatically scrolling the feed". I have it unchecked because I prefer the UI to not auto-update content from "under my feet", but I assume enabling it would eliminate the need to click to refresh.
