     @phnt @theorytoe the community of 'bootlickers' is full of happy people just building stuff and having a good time. It's what I want. And it reminds me of what you said about me getting disappointed about the iPhone, and like, the opposite happened, it's proven to me that my love for Apple really is founded on facts.

     @mischievoustomato @theorytoe Going from a community of drama addicts to a community of bootlickers isn't much of an improvement. The solution is to live under the rock at this point, both communities suck. Frankly, the Windows community is the most sane one right now.

     @mischievoustomato @theorytoe Also turns out that once you drop these DEs and switch to WMs, none of this matters at all. I've been running dwm for 5+ years and none of this drama affects me. X11 stuff still works, gtk is becoming more trash every year, but Qt is still good enough. And once X11 support starts being dropped from things like mesa, I'll just move to BSDs.
