   There is a lot of noise about this being Meta's "big tobacco¨ moment. Most may not remember this, but the big tobacco corp lobby was thought to be irreducible, all-powerful, untouchable.

   Now, they are touchable.

   And,soon, people will be use the cases brought by much better funded official apparatus, as jurisprudence and precedent.

   Apply, as you deem fit to consider, to #Meta case of harming kids by design.

     All those "settlements", with #Meta under the spotlight only mean the government suing Meta will get some money.

     Will that money ever reach those truly harmed by Meta? Doubtful, at best.

     Law runs on jurisprudence, i.e., precedent, what someone decided before. At least before Roberts killed stare decisis at US SCOTUS.

     Being found guilty or settling (admission of guilt, by extension), means Meta is determined to be at fault.

     That opens the flood gates for individual or class lawsuits.
