   This is streetmentioner.dmz.icant.alt. It knows what time it is because it knows what time it isn't. It calculates this by un-becoming the time it previously will be. The local daemon, chrony, then applies a corrective slew to drive the temporal state from a time that it isn't, toward a present that is progressively less absent.
