     @mischievoustomato I know they have a cycle date all of those products of Apple, the M1 might still be but the AMD's are now vanishing, who is next?
     Also with within a year I mean they will have another stronger chip set but your M1 has a life -cycle of like 10 to 15 years to be supported for security updates believe me. But that is no problem if you build up your own defenses I personally disabled iCloud at all and I'm happy with an outdated AMD. Without AI trash, sure I have a LLM but it runs on local host and is compiled from source LLama.cpp which is apart from my pc but I wont allow AI bloatware on any of my machines.

     -iphone: seems to just work, i just want a just works device for my phone, i dont have to worry about anything

     - macbook: i am kind of tired of linux, I want a pretty UI with good support for many things. It's basically linux but with actual support by 3rd parties. The game I play the most runs on it.
