   Twitter is now sending cease and desist letters to operators giving them 5 days compliance. Not sure how long I can keep ours running but I have some ideas will work on in the AM

     Something similar happened to IPTV and github took them down initially, but reinstated when github realized the project itself didn't contain material subject to the dmca notice. See the existing disclaimer on their page.

     Nonetheless, I'd also go look at Twitter's ToS. It's been a long time, but if I recall, they don't own the copyrights in the posts, the users do. I recall Twitter only having a non-exclusive perpetual license to distribute etc. So they may not have a claim under the dmca whatsoever.
