     I viewed it as a dice roll between "something that's close to scientific," "something that's demonstrably false and here's the evidence," "a sincere government program," "a fragment of a religion that's unknown to me," "demons," and "a blatant scheme to get people to fund child rape." My money was on the last one - Gino Yu claims that trauma unlocks these special abilities - and that coupled with him stroking Epstein's ego here makes me believe that he doesn't actually believe what he's selling.

     @j @ceo_of_monoeye_dating @dcc @jeru The CIA paper on “The Gateway Experience” offers some “in-house” perspective on what amounts to pacts with devils in exchange for “favorable” outcomes - though they likely don’t think of it in so many words 😅

     Before the Incarnation of Christ, most every human culture had some form of Shaman, whose business it was to explore these options for the perceived benefit of the village/tribe/etc. The Almighty God largely forgave Man (except Israel of course) for this after the Flood, as He knew we were “sheep with no Shepherd”. The techniques involved were nigh universally shared, and relied on whatever drugs/drums/chanting/etc proved useful to alter consciousness, interface with the entities encountered therein, and make “deals”.

     MKULTRA and similar leaned heavily into these sorts of things, updated for a modernist paradigm of course - though it’s the very same in theory and practice. Shamanism - even the materialistic sort - represents a basic rejection of the significance and implications of the Incarnation of Christ.

     It really do be one of those cases of truth is stranger than fiction. At least depending on where you're viewing the truth from from your vantage point on the awake-o-meter. It's pretty obvious this is what is going on to me now but if you told me this 10 years ago when I was 24 I would have thought you were crazy.

     That being said it's just doing stuff with/for demons in exchange for abilities/money/power/etc. however it's not really real. It sort of ends up as a cross between an illusion and a monkey's paw wish.
     
     In most of the cases I don't even think these people know what it is that they are doing. I think they actually think they have discovered some new/hidden knowledge and are trying to map it out and trying to harness this "new" power of it for their own personal gain (superbia) and they don't even realize what they are actually doing or how much danger they are in.
     
     That's just the way how pride works. It blinds you to your own pride and blinds you to the dangers of it. That's why it's so dangerous.
     
     At least that's my take on the situation. That's also why the Epstein class needs prayer. Especially since they don't likely have a lot of people praying for them already and they're kind of up to their necks in quicksand (yet they don't know that and think they are in control of the situation).
     
     It's honestly a sad situation.
